Classification of Plants

NatureServe Explorer reports plant names as accepted by NatureServe's standard references, which represent the consensus standards for researchers working in a given geographic area. NatureServe Explorer also reports plant names not accepted in the standard reference that have status assigned under the U.S. Endangered Species Act or by the Committee on the Status of Endangered Wildlife in Canada.
